Il viaggio intimo e universale della nascita, della maternità, è affrontato in questa nuova opera di Alessandra Racca con delicatezza e ironia, andando a sondare tutti i dubbi e le domande, le gioie e le paure, la forza e le fragilità, che un evento di questo tipo porta con sé. L’autrice, con il suo sguardo acceso sui dettagli del quotidiano, intraprende il dialogo interiore tra un prima e un dopo, con sé stessa e con un figlio immaginato, e poi con il figlio vero e proprio nei suoi primi mesi e anni di vita. Di pancia (e altri organi vitali) è un’investigazione sul senso di essere madre (o di non esserlo), una raccolta sull’attesa, i cambiamenti, il sentirsi inadatti, l’amore, il pensarsi e riconoscersi famiglia nel nostro tempo. È un’opera che riesce ad andare in profondità dentro queste tematiche complesse con leggerezza, ma è anche un libro sul corpo che cambia, che genera, che ci parla, un canto per la vita, nella vita.

L’autrice
Alessandra e vive e lavora a Torino. Pratica da anni la scrittura come forma di scoperta e di relazione con il mondo e con sé stessi. È autrice di reading nei quali mescola poesia e teatralità, collaborando con musicisti ed altri artisti. Ha creato PoetiCo, coro parlante poetico di Torino, per promuovere la lettura e l’ascolto della poesia in contesti collettivi, e il progetto performativo Inpoetica, sulla memoria che è racchiusa negli oggetti personali e negli spazi collettivi. Ha partecipato ai progetti residenziali europei (scrittura e performance) La poesìa anda por las calles (2017) e Refest – Immagini e Parole sui percorsi dei rifugiati (2018) sui temi della migrazione. Pratica il poetry slam, contest fra poeti con giuria popolare. È organizzatrice, mente e cuore di Atti Impuri Poetry Slam, una delle scene di poetry slam e story slam più longeva d’Italia. È tra i fondatori della Lega Italiana Poetry Slam.

The book
The intimate and universal journey of birth, of motherhood, is addressed in this new work by Alessandra Racca with delicacy and irony, exploring all the doubts and questions, joys and fears, strength and fragility, that an event of this type brings with it. The author, with her gaze focused on the details of everyday life, undertakes an internal dialogue between a before and an after, with herself and with an imagined child, and then with the real child in his first months and years of life. Di pancia (e altri organi vitale) is an investigation into the meaning of being a mother (or not being one), a collection on waiting, changes, feeling inadequate, love, thinking of and recognising oneself as a family in our time. It is a work that manages to delve deeply, yet lightly, into these complex themes, but it is also a book about the body that changes, generates, speaks to us, a song for life, about life.

The author
Alessandra lives and works in Turin. She has been practising writing for years as a form of discovery and relationship with the world and with oneself. She is the author of readings in which she mixes poetry and theatricality, collaborating with musicians and other artists. She created PoetiCo, a poetic speaking choir in Turin, to promote reading and listening to poetry in collective contexts, and the performative project Inpoetica, on the memory that is enclosed in personal objects and collective spaces. She participated in the European residential projects (writing and performance) La poesìa anda por las calles (2017) and Refest – Immagini e Parole sui percorsi dei fiumi (2018) on the themes of migration. She practices poetry slam, a contest between poets with a popular jury. She is the organiser, mind and heart of Atti Impuri Poetry Slam, one of the longest-running poetry slam and story slam scenes in Italy. She is among the founders of the Lega Italiana Poetry Slam.
