ITA: C’è una voce che sale dal bosco: è quella di un vecchio albero che vive lí da sempre, e adesso vuole dire la sua. Perché anche le piante hanno una personalità, delle passioni, ciascuna ha un proprio carattere. Cercano sottoterra per guardare il cielo. Si studiano, si somigliano, si aiutano. E se chi dice «io» avesse centinaia, forse migliaia di anni? Intorno a Laurin, nei secoli, si è svolta la storia di una intera comunità, e lui ora – con le radici ben salde nel terreno e la chioma ancora svettante nonostante l’età – ne ripercorre le vicende, le incomprensioni, le feste, i dubbi e le promesse. Le piante si organizzano in clan: c’è quello dei Cronaca, seri e coscienziosi, imbattibili nel raccogliere informazioni. Ci sono i Terranegra, i piú numerosi, originali e colorati, diversissimi tra loro. I temibili Gurra, alti e imponenti, sono taciturni (anche se al tramonto è facile sentirli cantare). I Guizza sciolgono i nodi delle scelte, pesano le decisioni e studiano i tramonti – mentre i Dorsoduro, instancabili scienziati, sono addirittura in grado di manipolare la percezione della realtà. Nella tribú degli alberi nascono amicizie speciali e legami indissolubili, qualcuno deluderà i compagni e qualcun altro li salverà. Una cosa li accomuna però: possono scegliere, e costruire un giorno dopo l’altro – se solo glielo permettiamo – il futuro del mondo in cui tutti abitiamo.

ENG: There is a voice that rises from the woods: it is that of an old tree that has always lived there, and now it wants to have its say. Because even plants have a personality, passions, each one has its own character. They search underground to look at the sky. They study, they look alike, help each other. What if whoever says “I” is hundreds, perhaps thousands of years old? Over the centuries, the story of an entire community has unfolded around Laurin, and now – with his roots firmly in the ground and his crown still towering despite his age – he retraces its events, misunderstandings, celebrations, doubts and promises. The plants organise themselves into clans: there is that of the Chronicles, serious and conscientious, unbeatable in gathering information. There are the Terranegra, the most numerous, original and colourful, very different from each other. The fearsome Gurras, tall and imposing, are taciturn (although at dusk it is easy to hear them sing). The Guizzas untie the knots of choices, weigh decisions and study sunsets – while the Dorsoduros, tireless scientists, are even capable of manipulating the perception of reality. In the tree tribe special friendships and indissoluble bonds are born, someone will disappoint their companions and someone else will save them. However, one thing unites them: they can choose, and build day after day – if only we let them – the future of the world in which we all live.
